UPDATE Mobile Police Make Shelton Beach Road Extension Homicide Arrest

On Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at approximately 3:20 a.m., Mobile Police responded to the 1700 block of Shelton Beach Road Extension for a report of one down, possibly involving one shot.

Upon arrival, police discovered the 55 year-old female victim lying in the parking lot near her vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was transported to USA Medical Center where she died as a result of her wound.

Update
Through investigation detectives developed arrested person, 23 year old Myles Xavier Smith, as the suspect. Shortly after 5:00 p.m. Smith was taken into custody and charged with Murder and Possession of a Control Substance.
