UPDATE Mobile Police Seek Subject Wanted for Burglary, Sexual Assault

On July 18, 2014, at approximately 6:15 a.m., police were dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of Oak Drive in reference to a burglary and theft involving a sexual assault. Upon police arrival, the female sexual assault victim stated she was sleeping when a known subject, armed with a gun, entered her residence through an unlocked window and demanded money. The suspect then sexually assaulted the female victim before leaving the residence with property belonging to two male victims, including a vehicle. The vehicle has since been recovered.
Investigation revealed 20 year-old Jawaun Tremane Jones is the suspect who committed these crimes. Jones has stated to police he will not turn himself in and must be apprehended.
On July 19, 2014, Jones was taken into custody at a local business. Jones is charged with two counts of Robbery First Degree, Obstruction of Justice, Possession of Marijuana Second Degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Rape First Degree, Burglary First Degree, Sodomy First Degree, Theft of Property First Degree and a Youthful Offered warrant.
