Victim in The Grand Hall Shooting Has Died

On Sunday, April 1, 2018 at approximately 11 p.m., police responded to The Grand Hall located at 3556 Halls Mill Road in reference to a disorderly complaint and a report of shots fired at a Pre-Spring Break teen party. During the investigation, it was determined that seven people were injured during the incident, one of which was 15-year-old Anesa Baker, who sustained life-threatening injuries.

On Wednesday, April 11, 2018, Baker died as a result of her injuries.

“It saddens us that Anesa Baker has succumbed to her injuries as a result of the shooting,” said Chief of Police Lawrence Battiste. “We will remain diligent in continuing to follow up on all investigative leads.”
