On Sunday, April 9, 2017 at approximately 3:59 a.m., witnesses reported Alicia Trotter, 27, was taken from her apartment against her will by her 33-year-old boyfriend, Danny Cobb. At approximately 6 a.m., the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office discovered Trotter’s body near McDonald Road and I-10.
Several minutes later, Mobile police officers spotted Cobb driving a white Jaguar, and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The pursuit ended in the Walmart parking lot at 5245 Rangeline Road when Cobb wrecked the Jaguar. Cobb was found inside the vehicle suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
