ONE ARRESTED FOR ROBBERY AND BURGLARY

On December 22, 2008, at approximately 4:30 A.M. officers responded to the 2000 block of Bataan Avenue in reference to a Robbery. Once officers arrived the home owners advised police that three unknown black males entered their residence armed with a weapon.

The suspect Brandon Whitfield was identified later as the suspect armed with a shot gun.

The victims and their four-year-old son were bound while Whitfield and the other two suspects were taking property and choosing what wrapped Christmas presents they wanted.

The suspects also took the victim's 2007 Nissan Altima and a 1998 burgundy Chevrolet Impala. The Altima was later recovered. The burgundy Chevrolet Malibu has not been recovered. The Malibu was bearing Alabama license plate 2C2411K.

Brandon Marquez Whitfield was arrested and charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Burglary 1st Degree.
