Operation in Bellingrath Road Area

The Narcotics/Vice Unit concluded a 5-month-long investigation in the Bellingrath Road area Oct. 27, 2016. 

The investigation began with the unit conducting controlled buys to identify persons and locations responsible for the distribution of narcotics in the area. 

Police identified 12 subjects selling illegal drugs and four locations that facilitated the drug activities. 

As a result of the operation, four search warrants were conducted and 11 subjects were charged with 30 felonies and eight misdemeanors (one subject was already in jail). Police also recovered approximately 17 grams of crack cocaine with an approximate street value of $1,700 and a small amount of marijuana. A TRO was also placed on 5631 Bob Street due to the drug sale cases that have occurred at the location. 

The operation was a combined effort of the Narcotics/Vice Unit, SWAT, Assaults Detail, MCSENT, Asset Forfeiture Detail, GITF, and Crime Details.

-4710 Knight Court
