File Number: 09-07- Jessie Evans

On July 6, 2009 at approximately 4:30 P.M., Mobile Police responded to the Bay Haas Building located at 1150 Government Street in reference to the apprehension of burglary suspect Jessie Evans. Evans was originally arrested by Mobile Police on Friday, July 3, 2009 for a burglary that occurred at the Quick Shop located at 2800 Springhill Avenue. Investigators responded to the scene and subsequently charged Evans with Burglary Third Degree and Possession of Burglar's Tools.

Evans was released from jail over the weekend prior to his probation officer issuing a hold for the new burglary offense in which he was charged. On Monday, July 6, 2009, Evans was apprehended without incident at the Bay Haas Building and was subsequently interviewed by detectives.

Further investigation revealed that Evans was responsible for the commission of multiple burglary offenses that had occurred throughout Mobile Police jurisdiction dating back to March 2009. Currently, investigators have been able to clear nine commercial burglary offenses including one incident that occurred in 2007. The investigation remains continuous and further information will be released as it becomes available.
