Police Arrest a Robbery Suspect

On December 21, 2009 the Mobile Police Department and the US. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Willie Lionel Williams for a robbery and assault that occurred at 2523 St Stephens Road at the VIP Barber Shop on June 6, 2009. Mobile Police and the Marshals Task force located Williams at a residence on the 1400 block of Next Street at approximately 1:45 PM, and Williams was apprehended without incident.

In the Robbery Willie Williams and the victim were having a dispute when Williams produced a handgun and shot the 36 year old male victim one time in the left leg, and demanded the victim empty his pockets. Williams then left the scene before the police arrived. Detectives responded and began the investigation. During the investigation, detectives were able to identify Willie Williams as the suspect and issue a warrant for his arrest.
