Police Investigate a Homicide on Diamond Road (update)

On September 4, 2009 at approximately 5:00 PM Mobile Police responded to Mobile Infirmary West for a report of a male that had been shot. Upon their arrival officers discovered 20 year old Blake Davis had been shot multiple times. Davis was transferred to surgery and on Saturday September 5, 2009 died at USA Medical center.

Homicide detectives responded to the hospital to begin their investigation. Preliminary results of the investigation revealed that the incident occurred on Diamond Road in Theodore, and Blake Davis was shot after attempting to break up a fight. Davis was then transported to the hospital by private vehicle.

Detectives have identified a 17 year old Markus Lee as being responsible for the shooting death of Blake Davis. Police are looking for Lee and anyone with information of his location is asked to call the police. Markus Lee entered a plea of guilty for a robbery committed in 2008, therefore making Lee an adult.
