POLICE INVESTIGATE A HOMICIDE ON GORGAS STREET (UPDATE #2)

On June 4, 2009 at approximately 4:20 A.M. police received a call for shots fired in the 900 Block of Gorgas Street. Upon officers arrival they discovered twenty five year old David Turner with an apparent gunshot wound. David Turner was transported to USA Medical Center by Mobile Fire Department where he was pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene to begin the investigation. The preliminary investigation revealed that David Turner was at his residence when a family member discovered him with his injuries. During the investigation, Detectives were able to identify Lamiquel Traylor and Derrick Terrell Robinson as the suspects responsible for the shooting death of David Turner. Warrants for their arrest have been signed for the charge of Murder.

On today's date, at approximately 1:00 P.M., Mobile Police were able to locate suspect Derrick Terrell Robinson at a residence located on Osage Street in the Toulmonville community. Investigators however are still searching for suspect Lamiquel Traylor. Detectives will continue with the investigation, and further information will be provided as it become available.
