Police Investigate a Homicide on Gorgas Street (Update #3)

On June 4, 2009 at approximately 4:20 A.M. police received a call for shots fired in the 900 Block of Gorgas Street. Upon officers arrival they discovered twenty five year old David Turner with an apparent gunshot wound. David Turner was transported to USA Medical Center by Mobile Fire Department where he was pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene to begin the investigation. The preliminary investigation revealed that David Turner was at his residence when a family member discovered him with his injuries. During the investigation, Detectives were able to identify Lamiquel Traylor and Derrick Terrell Robinson as the suspects responsible for the shooting death of David Turner. Warrants for their arrest have been signed for the charge of Murder.

On August 21, 2009 at approximately 1:00 P.M., Mobile Police were able to locate suspect Derrick Terrell Robinson at a residence located on Osage Street in the Toulminville community.

On Today's date at 1:30 PM members of the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Lamiquel Traylor at a residence in Atlanta Georgia without incident. Traylor has been arrested, charged with Murder and is currently awaiting extradition to Mobile.
