POLICE INVESTIGATE A HOMICIDE ON STANTON ROAD (UPDATE)

On May 29, 2009 at 6:49 PM Mobile Police received a call for shots fired on Stanton Road with possibly a man down. Upon officer's arrival, they discovered fifty-six year old Thornton Kitt with apparent gunshot wounds. Mr. Kitt was transported to USA Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene to begin the investigation. During the investigation detectives determined that three unknown possibly black males were seen running from the area shortly after the incident occurred.
