POLICE INVESTIGATE A SHOOTING ON POLK ST. (UPDATE)

On April 28, 2009 approximately 4:45 PM officers responded to the area of Polk St and Antwerp St. for a report of a victim with gunshot wounds. Upon their arrival police received information that a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wound had left the scene before police arrived. The victim was transported to Springhill Medical Center by a private vehicle. While on scene the officers were notified of another victim on Robert E Lee St with a single gunshot wound. Officers located this victim and he was transported to Mobile Infirmary Medical Center by Mobile Fire Department.

Mobile Police Assaults Detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
