Police Investigate a Traffic Fatality

On January 14, 2010 at 3:11 PM Mobile Police received a call for a traffic accident involving a motorcycle at Springhill Avenue and Margaret Street. Upon officers arrival they found 25 year old Mathew Aaron Fountain badly injured. Mathew Fountain was transported to Mobile Infirmary Medical Center where he later died.

The Traffic accident investigators responded to begin the investigation. The preliminary finding of the investigation revealed that Mathew Fountain was traveling east on Springhill Avenue when a 2008 Toyota Camry that had been traveling west on Springhill Avenue turn left and collided with Mathew Fountain on his motorcycle. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
