Police Investigate Homicide on Pages Lane at Hemley Avenue

On Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at approximately 8:04 PM, Mobile Police responded to a complaint of one shot at the intersection of Pages Lane and Hemley Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim identified as 29 year old Willie Gray Sneed down at the intersection suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper torso area. Sneed was subsequently transported to the University of South Alabama Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The Mobile Police Department's Homicide and Identification Unit responded to the scene to conduct the investigation. Preliminary investigation has revealed that area residents heard several gunshots near the intersection of Pages Lane and Hemley Avenue prior to discovering Sneed down in the street.
