Police make Trafficking in Stolen Identities Arrest

On June 3, 2010 at approximately 3:45 p.m., Mobile Police arrested Titus Latroy Norwood for Trafficking in Stolen Identities. After being pulled over for an unrelated offense, Norwood was found to be in possession of more than seven hundred counterfeit checks, as well as over five hundred counterfeit movies and DVDs. Norwood was transported to Mobile Police HQ, where he was questioned by Mobile Police Financial Crimes Investigators and agents from the US Secret Service. Subsequently, investigators conducted a search warrant on a hotel room at the Value Inn located at 1350 West I-65 Service Road South. Additional evidence was recovered.
Norwood was booked into the Mobile County Metro Jail on the following charges: Trafficking in Stolen Identities, Possession of Forged Instrument Second Degree, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana Second Degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Giving False Name and six outstanding warrants.
