The Mobile Police Academy will resume its pre-employment testing for the position of police officer beginning Tuesday, May 19 at 9 a.m. The Physical Agility/Ability Test is the first component of the entry-level examination for the position of police officer. The test consists of a 1.5-mile run in 15:28 minutes, 25 sit-ups in one minute, and 22 push-ups in one minute as well as an obstacle course that must be completed within 90 seconds. The testing is held at the Mobile Police Academy located at 1251 Virginia Street. Bring valid photo ID.
The tentative start date for the next Mobile Police Academy class is September 21, 2020.
