UPDATE Mobile Police Department Make Arrest In Bayou Street Homicide

On Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Mobile Police responded to the 600 block of Bayou Street in reference to one down. Upon arrival, the victim, 69 year-old Shirley Gardner was found inside of her residence with possible multiple stab wounds. Mobile Fire Rescue responded and Gardner was pronounced dead on the scene.

On Thursday, September 04, 2014, 62 year old Theodore Johnson was developed as a suspect. Detectives located, and interview Johnson in reference to this case. Following the interview Johnson was arrested, charged with Murder, Burglary First Degree, and transported to Mobile County Metro Jail.
