UPDATE: Mobile Police Makes Jefferson Place Apartments Homicide Arrest

On Friday, July 11, 2015, at approximately 7:40 p.m. officers responded to Jefferson Place Apartments 758 Texas Street for a report of One Shot. Officers located 20 year old Nicholas Gardner, shot once to the abdomen. Gardner was transported to a local hospital where he died as a result of his wound.

Through investigation on Monday, July 13, 2015, Homicide Detectives signed a Murder warrant for Tavelle Nelson. On Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at 12:07 p.m. Nelson surrendered to Mobile County Metro Jail.
