MPD has arrested 21-year-old Xavier Graham (DOB 11-17-94) for the murder of Booker Green. Graham will be charged with murder.
Mobile Police homicide detectives continue to investigate and seek others involved. Anyone with information is asked to call Mobile Police at 208-7211 or Crime Stoppers at 208-7000.
Update 7/27/16: 90-year-old Victim Dies from his Injuries
The 90-year-old victim shot in the shoulder while in his vehicle when a group of juveniles demanded his money has died from his injuries.
The incident happened on Thursday, July 21, 2016 shortly before 7 p.m. Officers responded to the 500 block of Patton Avenue in reference to one shot. The victim, identified as Booker Green, told police he was in his vehicle at Pecan Street and Belsaw Avenue when he was approached by a group of four or five armed unknown male juveniles. They demanded his money but when he refused he was shot in the shoulder.
Green died this morning at approximately 7 a.m.
The case is now a murder investigation.
