On Saturday, September 15, 2018 at approximately 7:53 a.m., police responded to the Motel 6 located at 400 West I-65 Service Road South in reference to a shots fired complaint. Officers located the victim, identified as 26-year-old Damian Robinson, inside a room with multiple gunshot wounds. Robinson was pronounced deceased on the scene.
A second victim was discovered to have fled on foot from the location, but was located and transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
